Born as an Internet-based political satire that echoed some controversial comments made by India’s Chief Justice, the Cockroach Janta Party has gained a monumental popularity online in only a few days, blurring the limits between the web “meme” culture and actual political counterpower. France 24’s Gavin Lee spoke to Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the party.
