Last minute VAR drama sent Croatia home after their equalizer was deemed offside against Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first World Cup goal from a penalty. Spain walked all over the Austrian team in a dominant 3-0 win. Austria, meanwhile, did not manage to get a single shot on target.
