England and Ghana cancelled each other out in a goalless draw at Foxborough Stadium, a result that leaves Group L finely poised with all four nations still harbouring knockout qualification hopes. Despite dominating possession with 79% of the ball, England were unable to break down Ghana’s defensive lines, with the Black Stars frustrating their opponents throughout. Noni Madueke, Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Nico O’Reilly all came close, with O’Reilly hitting the bar and Saka forcing a stunning save from Benjamin Asare.

The Black Stars occasionally threatened on the counter-attack, with Marvin Senaya coming closest to breaking the deadlock, but ultimately both teams were forced to settle for a point. The draw leaves Group L wide open.
